Product Description

Planed Softwood Timber is nominally 25x225 mm (1 x 9 in) with a finished size of around 19x219 mm. This internal joinery timber is planed with square edges (PSE) and kiln-dried to improve stability and straightness. Designed for tradespeople and builders, it delivers a smooth, paint or stain friendly surface for internal joinery components such as doors, linings, architraves and mouldings. All sizes are approximate, and the timber naturally expands and contracts with moisture content, so some dimensional variation should be expected. From sustainable sources. Nominal vs finished size: nominal 25x225 mm; finished around 19x219 mm. Planed with square edges (PSE): ensures accurate joints and a consistent surface. Kiln-dried: improves stability and straightness in variable site conditions. Finish options: suitable for painting or staining on internal joinery projects. Sustainability: sourced from sustainable sources. Ideal use cases and practical tips: Door linings, window boards, architraves, pelmets and cabinet facings in internal spaces. Acclimatise timber on site before installation, stack to allow air flow, and store flat off the ground. Cut with sharp tools and ensure square joints; account for seasonal movement when fixing. All sizes are approximate and subject to natural shrinkage or swelling with moisture content. This product is intended for internal use where a smooth, paint-ready or stained finish is required.
