To seal marine plywood follow these steps: • Clean the plywoodUse either a soft cloth or a paper towel that has been dipped in acetone and wipe down the surface. This will help remove any stains or grease before treatment. Move on to the next step 1-2 hours later. • Sand the surfaceBefore any treatment can begin you need to sand the plywood. Use 80-grit sandpaper to go over every side (as well as the edges) and when done wipe away any surface dust. • Add the first coatUse a clear, penetrating epoxy that will soak into the wood as this will ensure it will dry transparent and will generally require less maintenance than other sealants. Marine-grade sealer can also be used but this usually requires more coats and frequent application. Ensure the sealer is applied to all sides and edges using a roller or foam brush. • Apply more coatsGenerally, you should apply as many coats as there are layers. Scuff up the wood in-between each coat with sandpaper to ensure the next layer adheres to the surface. Always allow enough time for drying before adding another coat. Refunds
