Product Description Product Description Organic Jasmine Absolute Oil is a highly concentrated aromatic extract from the flowers of Jasminum Grandiflorum. The resulting extract gives powerful sensory and cosmetic benefits from calming the skin to an even, smooth appearance. Jasmine Absolute is good for dry, sensitive, or reactive skin types. Its softening properties make it perfect for balms, serums, and facial oils. Jasmine absolute is also good for hair, nourishes strands, adds shine, and reduces frizz. Jasmine absolute can be added to the bath for relaxation, skin nourishment, and to create a calm environment. According to the Cosmetic Ingredient Database (CosIng), its functions are: Masking and Perfuming. What is Jasmine Absolute Jasmine Absolute, often called the ‘King of Oils’, is a luxurious essential oil extracted from the jasmine flowers of Jasminum grandiflorum and Jasminum sambac. This floral oil is loved for its deeply nourishing effects on the skin and is suitable for all skin types, dry skin, oily skin, and sensitive skin. Its sweet, heady scent is uplifting and promotes self-confidence and well-being. It blends beautifully with other essential oils like rose, geranium, and bergamot, and is a staple in natural perfumery and holistic wellness routines. Botanical Source The fragrance of Jasmine Absolute comes from the jasmine flower, Jasminum grandiflorum and Jasminum sambac are the main botanical sources. These jasmine flowers thrive in a warm tropical climate and are prized for their intense floral scent. Egypt is famous for high-quality jasmine oil due to its ideal climate and traditional harvesting method. The flowers are hand-picked at night when the scent is at its peak to ensure the absolute product is of the highest quality. This careful selection and harvesting process preserves the unique floral fragrance that makes Jasmine Absolute so popular in skincare and perfumery. Extraction and Production Jasmine Absolute is created through a delicate solvent extraction process, as the blossoms are far too fragile to withstand steam distillation. Fresh jasmine flowers are picked by hand at night, when their aroma is at its peak. An experienced picker can gather between ten and fifteen thousand blossoms in a single night, and they must be handled with great care to avoid bruising. The flowers are first processed to produce a concrete, from which the absolute is then extracted using alcohol. Around one thousand pounds of blossoms yield only about one pound of liquid concrete, which in turn provides roughly 0.2 percent of the aromatic compounds that make Jasmine Absolute so distinctive. The result is a mobile, orange-brown liquid with a sweet, intensely floral and exotic character. Because of the labour involved, the low natural yield, and the moderate potential for sensitisation in formulation, Jasmine Absolute is produced in limited quantities and remains a rare, highly valued ingredient for both skincare and fragrance creation. How to use it How to Use It Use in bath products, in a diffuser, or an oil burner to lift moods and promote deep relaxation. Blends very well with Rose and Ylang Ylang as an aphrodisiac. Skin Care It is a beautiful oil that is effective with every skin type, from sensitive skin as well as dry or greasy skin. Use in creams and lotions. Excellent to use in skin toners. Ideal to use in high-end serums for anti-aging. Wonderful to use in massage oil blends and massage creams as it is deeply relaxing. Use with Geranium for skin products. Combine with Shea Butter Oil and Vitamin E. Hair Care Very calming and relaxing in hair products, but be aware that a little goes a long way as a fragrance.
