Deep bronze, mahogany. Oily in my glass, with legs that develop slowly. Nose: Deep, rich, heavily sherried fruits - raisins, plumbs, macerated berries. Soft, crumbly, muscovado sugar. Jamaica ginger cake and spiced apple compote. Alcohol is well integrated. Palate: Medium mouthfeel. More rich red fruit with redcurrants, blackcurrants and raisins. Dark malt loaf. Wood spices with cinnamon and cloves. A touch of dark chocolate, a suggestion of tobacco. Alcohol is again well integrated. Finish: Long finish. It evolves flavours and defines a sherry-led signature style for The Lakes Distillery. Showcasing a sherry-led, wood-forward, and flavour-packed style, each release of The Whiskymaker’s Reserve has the same DNA. Varying in character, they continue to evolve in keeping with The Lakes sherry cask influence and sense of adventure. The Lakes Whiskymaker's Reserve 6 is the penultimate whisky in this series. Refunds
