About this Tri Carragh whisky Tri Carragh presents this vibrant 11-year-old Mannochmore, distilled in 2014 and drawn from a single bourbon barrel, yielding just 236 bottles. Known for producing a lighter, fruit-forward Speyside style, Mannochmore has a reputation for being under the radar – much of its spirit goes into blends, making single malt releases like this all the more exciting. At cask strength (52.4%), with natural colour and no chill filtration, this whisky shows the distillery’s character in full. The nose is bursting with fruit – like opening a tin of fruit salad in syrup, with green grapes and strawberries leading the way, underpinned by fresh-cut grass and soft vanilla. On the palate, syrupy sweetness coats the tongue before evolving into layers of cinnamon, vanilla and poached pear. A few drops of water reveal even greater complexity, with bright lemon notes and the nostalgic charm of vanilla slice pastries. The finish lingers on lemon zest and creamy vanilla. A fresh and expressive Speyside malt, this release balances fruity charm with elegant bourbon cask influence – a treat for those who enjoy the lighter side of Speyside with a twist of complexity.
